I suppose my greatest influences is Galileo Galilei. Galileo Galilei was a lute player and a mathematician. He discovered the connection between the length of the cord and the period of oscillation. Such an incredible discovery has given way to a much better understanding of how sound works. I feel that the next step is to create a way for everyone to manipulate sound how they desire using those discoveries.
My second greatest influence would be Wintergatan. Wintergatan is a swedish band that uses a large amount of custom instruments to compose. They have taken electronic music away from the standard keyboard and put it in new formats that many people may find easier to use and understand. As someone who used to play the viola, I would have a much easier time using a viola-shaped trigger system to compose, simply because I find it much easier to understand and create a flowing sound. I aspire to be able to create electronic trigger systems as well as Wintergatan does.
